Lentiviruses preserved in virus sample preservation solution (non-guanidinium salt based) retained its protein integrity after 7 days.

 

Lentivirus (RNA virus) was stored in the virus sample preservation solution (non-guanidine salt based) for 1, 3, and 7 days, and viral RNA were extracted and examined with qPCR.

 

Adenovirus (DNA virus) was stored in the virus sample preservation solution (non-guanidine salt based) for 1, 3, and 7 days, and viral RNA were extracted and examined with qPCR.

 

 
 

The HEK293T cells infected with lentivirus stored in virus sample preservation solution (non-guanidine salt based) did not observe the effective infection of the virus to generate GFP fluorescence signal under two different preservation times, indicating that the virus after preservation had lost its infective activity. In contrast, cells infected with virus suspended in PBS solution (control group) showed 80% GFP expression efficiency.
